I am doing the cross country race in Penrith on Sat 17 Oct. The senior race starts just after 1pm, so I am planning to leave Keswick at noon, or possibly 11.45am, to allow plenty of time for finding the place, parking, registration, warm up, cold sweats and panic, and so on. Directions to the Frenchfield Sports Centre:
From the motorway roundabout follow the A66 until the next roundabout. Take the second junction towards Alston. Stay on this road until you pass the Penrith Rugby Club that is on your left. Shortly after this there is a turning on the right signposted Hunter Hall School and Frenchfield (funnily enough). Take this, past the pub, and straight down to the end of the road.
