Cumbria Cross Country League –Race 2, Penrith, Saturday 17th October

Well done to the following for some good runs at race #2 in the Cumbria League, at Frenchfields on Saturday. Particular mention to junior, Mark Donovan on a great run and win in the Under 11 race -well done Mark.

Some good times there .... Quentin's 29.94 was something else, that last minute must have been the longest of his life!!. Whoever did the results must have been drunk. I am waiting till they are corrected before I send them round by e-mail.

Slightly wayward results aside it was a good course and a good day for running. Not the sort of weather you would normally associate with Cross-Country.

Thanks to Pippa J, Pippa's Mum, Trudy B and Steve H for providing support to KAC runners. Pippa and Mum were positioned on one of the climbs to ensure there was no slackening off...

My 29:94 felt more like 94:29!!! But well done indeed to Mark Donovan. And reiterated thanks to those who tried to encourage us in the direction of respectable performances.
