Well done to Sue Denham-Smith who was targeting this event for a fast time. The Leicester Marathon returned in 2006 after a 20 year absence, numbers for the event and a half marathon increasing this year to nearly 1000 entries for the marathon and 2000 for the half.
Sue has been training hard for the marathon, which paid off on Sunday with an improvement of her PB for the 26.2 miles by more than 30 minutes! Finishing in 4:12:43, the third fastest Keswick AC ladies marathon time this year (club ranking), this is a great achievement and great to see someone enjoying their running so much.
