Have you ever fancied going up Swinside (the hill not the pub)? .... I have every time I look out of our window!!, Well now you can this Sunday, 24th May. There is a walk and picnic planned at 2pm and thanks to Cathy Colan we can now run up it at 6pm, meeting at the suspension bridge in Portinscale. Apparently the view up Newlands is spectacular. There will be a charge of £5 which will go to Portinscale Village Hall Roof project. This is a one off chance to go up this privately own hill. Run as fast or as slow as you like .... and take a camera.
