Both the double world and Olympic champion Kenenisa Bekele, and European Indoor Champion Mo Farah pulled out of the 3000m race, Bekele citing a calf injury for his withdrawal while Farah says he is still not at full fitness yet -on finishing the European Cross Country Championships in Ireland Farah, who set a new British 3000m record last year in a time of 7:34:47, collapsed with exhaustion following a duel with Spanish winner Alemayehu Bezabeh.
