The second of this five race series which starts and finishes at the Salt Ayre athletics track in Lancaster took place yesterday evening. Following heavy showers prior to the race, the rains stopped at 6.30pm on the dot and 95 runners enjoyed the fast and flat out and back course along the riverside cycleway.
James Reed was the first home in 15.41, with Sarah Tunstall of Kendal AC first lady home in 16.42.
Peter Bingham clocked 19.29 for 40th, and Steve Hebblethwaite in his first race at the distance ran 16.39 for 10th. Results here.
