There was a good turnout (493 finishers) this year for the ever popular fast and flat Trimpell 20 race in Morecambe. Advertised as "the pre-London road race", the course produced the fastest time for a 20 miler in the UK in 2006. A number of Keswick AC runners continued their training for London with a run out yesterday. Rob Wynne (2.17.35) made 79th and 17th o/45 and Keith Harrison ran a time of 2.20.56 for 105th and 20th o/45.
Julie Yeates (2.27.04) had a great run to win 1st o/45 and record the 18th fastest time for the women -well done, and Hayley Hodgeson (2.35.47) who claimed 8th o/40, along with Anne Downie (2.42.07) for 5th o/45, should be well pleased with their excellent preparations for London on 26th April.
It's great to see members of the club continuing the good start to the road season this year.
