Congratulations to Rosie Stuart representing Cumbria in Nottingham on Saturday in this prestigious event, which as well as playing host to the Inter Counties Championships, acts as the World Cross Country trials. In the U20 women’s race, one of the day’s most competitive fields, the final climb saw five athletes vying for the three automatic World Cross Country spots for team GB.
The race was won by Lilly Partridge, with European Cross Country silver medallist Charlotte Purdue in second. With pre-race favourite race favourite Laura Park dropping out mid race, third spot went to Kate Avery. Rosie finished in 25.53 (54th) a great run in a competitive field of athletes.
