A warm sunny evening greeted the numerous KAC men and women who turned out for the re-launched Fellside fell race. In the men's race, Howgill's Carl Bell romped to victory in 53:25 ahead of Borrowdale pair, Steve Birkinshaw and Andrew Schofield. Keswick's Dave Birch had an excellent run to finish equal 4th.
Keswick's Sarah Bailey (1:11:52) was outstanding in the women's race, coming home first ahead of Borrowdale's Nicola Davies and CFR's Tracy Park.
