Dalehead 2008

Congratulations to all who raced Dalehead this afternoon.
My quick back of an envelope calculations suggest the Keswick AC Club Fell Championships 2008 final tables are:

Ladies:
1. P Jackson
2. L Thompson
3. T Beetham
4. J Moore
5. L Dunn

Men:
1. S Hebblethwaite
2. M Fraser
3. D Troman
4. I Davies and D Loan (tied on points)
5. D Owens

A quick glance at the road champs tables suggests a number of runners could still take top spot. See thee at the Derwentwater 10!

give us a shout when the results are up. It was good to see the club in action - age and treachery will not always triumph over youth and ability!

As this is a new format for the Club Champs, how does everyone feel the new format worked? It looks as though the final positions are a pretty good representation of overall performance over the season?

Well done to Pippa and Steve - worthy champions! But also congratulations to Matt who kept things interesting yesterday and put in a fine performance in his debut season. Here's hoping for another competitive club championship next year.

Photos of Dale Head race at the Borrowdale website and I'll get something in the press once the results are out.

Also good to see MDS out racing again for the club but was the language used yesterday indicitive of your Championship glory years???

Well done to Steve and Pippa and all who ran. This is without doubt the most competative club championship for many years, certainly on the years I have been around. Please let me have any photos for the Pictorial History.
Has MDS been using choice language again?.... welcome back Mark.

I'm no shrinking violet but some of his "self-motivation" comments would have a sailor blushing.

Still, if it's helping to produce Keswick dominated results then perhaps it's a good thing :-)

Ian if you are close enough to MDS to hear his "self-motivation" comments you know that you are doing OK. Still, maybe we should put a gag on him, just imagine if we all used such language?.

Pete, I wasn't close for very long, trust me! There was a continual green and yellow blur coming past me all race.

Well done to Pippa and Steve on heading the tables and to everyone who competed. It is good to see MDS is back ' chasing the last bus home' I am looking forward to more repeats of last years Derwent 10 when competitors and runners alike were well entertained through the Catbell zig zags.
