Rosthwaite Chocolate Run

For anyone whose interested there's a very runnable navigation challenge in place until end January.

There are 9 markers in total. Distance 13km. Time approx. 2 hours. It's probably best to use a 1:25000 scale map of the English Lakes North-Western Area.

Park at the usual car park in Rosthwaite. The start is at 263154 "Hawthorn tree behind a wall". The marker here will give a grid reference to the next point etc.

Don't forget to take a pen, notepad, compass. It's open fell so dress accordingly.

There could be one or two tricky markers to find so I'd appreciate feedback. Post it here on the blog.

Good luck and I hope you find the chocolate

Was already to go on Saturday, but on seeing the weather, decided to wait for a better day. Am I being too soft?

Initial feeback suggests the start is difficult to find. Here's a clue......

"263154 Hawthorn tree behind a short 3m section of wall 30m right of gate and path"

Also allow at least 3 hours
