A salient consideration is whether Club Championship races can be the same as the Brit/Eng races; some clubs seem to be against this policy.
Should a decision be made to find races that allow members to compete in both, September would be free. I think the Grisedale Horseshoe would make a cracking CC race - plenty of variable running with the possibility for some great out & out racing.
I agree with SH, last year worked well and I have heard favourable comments about including an evening race again (last year Blencathra). Possibilities include Latrigg, Steel Fell, Langstrath & Dockray-Hartside.
...I only said last year worked well because i won!
I think evening races enable some people who have family/other weekend commitments to come out and race...For evening races see also Grisedale Grind and Lord's Seat.
...regarding the selection of English/British Championship races for club champs -does anyone know exactly where the FRA stand on this?
I personally wouldnt mind running English, British and separate club championship races provided they wern't on consecutive weekends, and sufficient recovery time after longer races. However someone competing as a V60 might disagree, or anyone else with other commitments for that matter i suppose.
How could I forget GG & LS - I ran them this year!
I would be very surprised if there are any specific rules regarding a Clubs selection of Championship races - just a general feeling that Club Championship races would swell National race numbers which are already high.
By selecting races with a lower turnout for CC would potentially increase the cometitiveness as you have a better idea who is ahead/behind you and what sort of margin you have in a race over fellow Club members.
We should also assume that some of the English/British Championship races will be oversubscribed as seems to have been the trend this year at Black Combe, Three Peaks and Borrowdale in 2008...It would not be a very competitive club championship race if half the club were excluded because a race's entry limit was reached a week after entries were opened.

Unlikely Wasdale ( the 'Daddy' of the lakeland fell races ) will be over subscribed.
