On Saturday England Athletics have organised a 'Cumbria Run Day' based at Keswick Cricket Club in Fitz Park.

The day is open to all and is a great opportunity to hear what England Athletics can do to support athletics and running in Cumbria. You will also have the chance to feed in what coaching development you would like to see in the future.
Speakers: Martin Rush (Junior to Senior), Sam Ayers (practical sessions), Kenny Stewart (will answer questions about his running career)
Time: 10am - 3pm

On Sunday (23rd Jan) at the University of Cumbria, Newton Rigg Campus, Penrith, there will be a workshop entitled "Transition from Winter into Summer (endurance)" with Stockport based level 4 coach David Turnbull, Ruddi Farquharson and David Lowes (TBC). The workshop will cover goal setting and the transition from generic to specific training and tapering, plus how to maintain endurance and conditioning through the season.
